Hi everyone, Veronica here - owner of OHP.  I've been researching and experimenting with soil for more than six years now, and my own plants have been my test subjects the whole time. So when I decided to repot nearly every plant I have recently, I knew it was time to try out a new blend.

This soil is the best I've ever made - great water retention, fabulous porosity and drainage, super fluffy, and rich AF. My plants have supplemental light year-round because I live in Tacoma, WA, where we have "summer" and "the long dark wet" instead of real seasons. But what do grow lights mean? Growth year-round! That means I need a soil chock full of awesomeness to keep these babies happy, so V's Mix is the richest soil I've ever made.

Since the re-pot, my plants have been going absolutely nuts, so I decided it was time to make this one available to you!

Contains Kuripaka (tree fern) fiber, vermiculite, coco coir and chips, Pinus radiata bark fines, reduction-fired hardwood charcoal, insect frass, seed and veg meals, rock dusts, and mycorrhizal inoculant.

Looking for soil for that indoor lime tree? Look no further! This soil is designed to mimic the native climate citrus trees grow in, with additional drainage to keep them happy in the lower-light* environment in your home.

Contains an incredible, beefed-up blend of insect frass, seed and veg meals, rock dusts, and more to give these fast-growing babies what they need.

*For reference, we're talking about how a GIANT window inside will cut down the light available to your plant. Do not read this and think you can get away with putting a citrus tree in a dim corner; these plants are used to direct sun in Cali or the Mediterranean, so no matter how big your windows are, this plant is probably in lower light than it would be outside!

A semi-DIY kit for your bonsai trees, this mix is designed to be used in small quantities, so it holds extra water and is stuffed to the brim with goodness. Use the included pumice to adjust moisture retention or as a decorative top dressing.

Kit includes soil and pumice in the following amounts:

Generous quart: 1 'quart' of soil (~6 cups) plus small package pumice (~1.5 cups)
2-gallon: 2 gallons soil, 2 generous quarts pumice
10gallon bulk: 10 gallons soil, ~2 gallons pumice

How to use: for tropical bonsais or trees in extremely small pots, use this blend by itself. For bonsais that require less water or prefer a rockier soil, add pumice. INDOORS: For conifers, I like to use 1 part pumice for every 2 to 3 parts soil. For ficus and other tropicals, I use the soil straight, or add 1 part pumice for ever 4 to 5 parts soil.

Please be aware that a bonsai that lives outside will require more water than an indoor plant, and mix accordingly.
